In this commentary, John Mackay offers a conservative approach to the book of Jeremiah, arguing for Jeremiah's divinely given authorship of the text. Mackay works from the Masoretic Text, and employs the NIV for Scripture references. He focuses the purposes commentary to the tasks of exposition and proclamation, and giving fodder for sermon preparation rather than addressing modern debate on Jeremiah. Jeremiah chapters 1-20 are treated in this volume.
