Jewish tradition claims that Isaiah suffered martyrdom by having been sawn in two. We do not know if this is true, but we know the Book of Isaiah has suffered at the hands of modern destructive critics. The denial of authenticity and unity, as well as the one authorship is a serious matter because it impeaches the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ who often quoted from Isaiah. So the work of this author and this subsequent book shows the unity of the book and that only one person could have written it.
