In this book the author has compiled a record covering many years of what has become known as "the brethren movement". He has faithfully tried to trace the path of the pioneers of faith and record the history of many assemblies throughout the UK.

The author also admits that there is an omission of other equally deserving to be mentioned, but cannot be included because of the lack of reliable date or the absence of definite information especially of those Assemblies that were established before the 20th centuries
