The Conquest of Canaan, Warfare and Victory in the Christian Life by Jessie Penn Lewis.
The addresses on the Book of Joshua given in this book were initially delivered at meetings for Christian workers during the early months of 1911. They were delivered extempore with no further preparation than an outline of test. The purpose was only to give a bird’s eye view of the battlefield as depicted in the Biblical account of the conquest of Canaan.
The four addresses in the book, are not as consecutive in style and condensed in Bible exegesis as it would have been prepared directly for print.
Nevertheless, as the addresses contain light on the warfare with the powers of darkness which may be of service to the Lord’s people, I send them forth with all their imperfections, looking to God the Spirit to give truth to those who need it.
