It wasn’t just the other women; it was all the other rubbish my husband threw my way: the hurt, the name calling and the coldness towards me, as well as the huge financial debt of which I had been unaware. It was as if everything we had ever shared had been thrown out with the trash, including me. One night I cried out to God for rescue. He heard and answered me. Crying Out Loud is a must read for all women who care about their sisters. As Christians, we enter into marriage with the belief that it’s for life and that problems will be worked through. Sadly, that isn’t the experience for all. As you read this you will recognize the author to be a victim of much wrong done against her and, though she persevered, her husband’s many betrayals led to the end of the marriage. For those who haven’t faced such pain, Crying Out Loud gives enormously valuable insights for getting alongside those who may have to walk a similar path. It opened my eyes to some of the results of betrayal of which I’d previously been unaware. It also demonstrates God’s grace and restoration of one so deeply hurt, to live, to love, to serve Him again.
