The Exceeding Great Joy

When the Wise Men saw the star the Bible tells us that their joy was “exceeding great”. Why? In this publication the author offers a partial explanation concerning the “exceeding great joy” of the Magi on seeing the star. In doing this he gives a thorough treatment of God’s two revelations to mankind: one in the heavens (for the Gentiles of old) and one in the Scriptures (initially for Israel). He also considers the four prophecies recorded in Matthew 2 which were fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ.
