The author writes in his introduction: “Some years ago, with a view to presenting the ‘Song of Songs’ to our students in the Bible Training Institute, Kobe, in Japan. I concentrated my attention of this book, excluding for the time being other helpful literature on the subject. I came to certain conclusion about it, revolutionary to me at that time. However, on turning the commentaries which were available at that time, I discovered with some degree of disappointment that what I thought that original, was as old as the hills. Encouraged, by the confirmation of these commentaries, I pursued my studies and now present them to you, modified, somewhat with all their imperfections.
Some believers have never read the book and other who don’t understand it. I desire to lay before all such ‘a key’ which will open to all the lovers of the Bible, a feast to quicken the life, nourish the soul and make the Lord Jesus, the Hero of the Story, more precious than ever.”
