Planting by Pastoring rejects the entrepreneurial mindset of church planting and invites leaders to adopt a far more biblical view of the church to cultivate a community that can "treasure Christ together." It truly is a vision for starting a healthy church that produces faith, fruit, and a flourishing community.
A healthy church is not measured by size, speed, financial strength or self-sufficiency. "Jesus didn't hastily build the church ... He planted his church as a pastor. He knew his sheep and his sheep knew him." One we define a church plant as a church, and a planter as a pastor, we will be better equipped to align our ministry with Jesus' mission to shepherd the flock and bring glory to God alone.
