Is the Law the Christian's Rule For Life? by Robert Govett and published by Classics Publishing.

When you consider the words of Exodus 19:3 – 6, which state “And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.” It is clear from these words that the people of Israel alone were addressed. They were to keep God’s covenant on the ground of the special deliverance granted to their nation only. If they would accept the covenant and obey it, their nation was to be superior to every other. They did accept it, and the covenant was made with then and to no covenant nation was the covenant offered and none accepted. So what role has the Law given to the people from the Lord via Moses, in the life of the believer?

This is what the author seeks to do, demonstrating from scripture a believers real and true response to the Law.
