Mary of Bethany by Marcus Loane and published by Classics.
The village of Bethany occupies a place of unique interest in the Gospel narrative, and in possesses a charm of singular power for the Christian believer, lying, as it does, towards the slope of the Mount of Olives. It was so close to Jerusalem that in the New Testament times it could almost claim to be within the shadow of the Temple walls.
The chief distinction, however, of this ancient village has to do neither with Olivet nor with Jerusalem, but with the names of those who made up a single godly family - a family whose gentle home was ever open to receive our Lord. It is this small group of people which forms the subject matter of this book - a reverent study of the household of Bethany which will surely prove a delight to all who read.
