The description of our eternal home is given to us in the last two chapters of Revelation. In the 20th chapter we have an account of the thousand years of Christ's year and of the great outbreak of sin which follows on satan's loosing. On that the fire of God descends, and burns up the impious host, yea, and the earth itself. Thereupon the judgment of the dead ensues. This moment must also be the judgment of the living nations. Not all the nations go up to the daring invasion which satan leads. Israel is certainly an exception: it is against that nation and their city that the wicked expedition is directed. The Book of Life is not produced in vain at the last judgment, it has a positive effect on the doom of multitudes. Then begins, in Chapter 21 the subject of this book.
