The contents of this book centres around the Person and Offices of Christ. Though they are not expository in style, they are not intended as formal studies of these elevated themes, but rather they are meditations upon the greatness and glory of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
These writings seek to show how the doctrines of Scripture derive their sum and substance from Him. The great passages of the New Testament, and, indeed, those of the Old Testament, are inspired by the vision of Christ. Nothing in Holy Scripture is allowed to obscure or displace this central theme.
