Following a “clause-by-clause” approach, this commentary closely scrutinizes the text of the Gospel but without losing sight of the overall thrust and purpose of the book. The commentary also gives attention to the meaning of the Greek original but does so in a manner that is understandable to the student who is unfamiliar with the language. The goal is to help the reader understand and appreciate the “good news” that Mark proclaims.
