Jonah, A Message for Our Times - CCS by Theodore H Epp.
The story of Jonah is full of pathos and tragedy. It tells of about a man who evidenced both the wisdom of God and the stupidity of man – a man who knew and served God, yet presumed to run away from Him.
Jonah’s story is often ours today – without the ship, storm, great fish, walled city or a plant to give shade! But man remains as he was then – rebellious and disobedient, foolish and fleeing. Until God halts his flight, often with disappointment, pain or perhaps even disaster.
And as man returns, waiting in patience to use him, in spite of his problems and failings, waiting for the Lord to transform him into an obedient follower and servant.
