The Infallibility of the Church by George Salmon and published by Classics.
This classic work of Protestant apologetics was published in 1888. Originally, it began as a series of lectures delivered at the University of Dublin before being collected into this volume.
Salmon’s primary purpose in this book is to demonstrate the impossibility of Papal infallibility, as believed by the Roman Catholic Church. Although some things have changed since Vatican II (1965), all of Salmon’s historical arguments and examples of Papal error are still valid and highly relevant to contemporary students who want to see a strong case made against the claims of Rome.
