This small tract is obviously not an exhaustive or definitive work on the subject of miraculous gifts, but its intention is to promote Biblical thought on the topic which leads to helpful discussion which in turn will bear “more light than heat”. God’s Word when rightly interpreted does not produce division but unity. Yet if miraculous gifts are for today and are a truly Biblical position, then they should be eagerly sought by all Christians.
However, if it can be shown from Scripture that they are not for today, then this ‘doctrine’ should be rightly rejected as a false doctrine. (from the Preface)
