Historically, Baptists are not particularly noted for great Theological works.
Their strong point has been Missions and Evangelism. They do, however, have two men in Southern Baptist history that are being rediscovered—Dr. James Petigru Boyce who was the principal founder of the first Southern Baptist Seminary, and now the reprint of this present volume on Church Order by John L. Dagg.
Both of these great men were in the stream of that exalted system of Pauline truth which is nicknamed Calvinism. It is with great delight and encouragement that this present volume now back in print. All who long to see those doctrines that Dagg taught, that our founding fathers believed and preached, that Spurgeon preached, that John Bunyan preached, that the great evangelist George Whitefield preached and that Jonathan Edwards preached, thunder through the world again will want to own and promote this valuable volume of John L. Dagg.
