Christ Crucified: Puritan View of the Atonement *

This work is the Puritan view of the Atonement of Christ. Charnock links together both the Old and New Testament to show how Jesus fulfils the Old Testament sacrificial system. He particularly illustrates the importance of the Passover and opens up our understanding of the differences which characterises the Church era and shows how Jesus willingly went to the cross in order to bring us the blessings of the New Covenant.
