Sometimes people skip over chapters 9-11 of Romans, or put them in brackets, because they are full of difficult and controversial things. I come to these chapters not as a theologian, except in the way we are all theologians, but just as an ordinary pastor who tries to preach to my congregation week by week. There are things in these chapters that I still find difficult to understand - and I am grateful for the help I have received from the writings and preaching of others.
